Xiaomi Launches Monopod Selfie Pod

Xiaomi had launched their new Monopod Selfie Stick


It features a integrated Bluetooth Connectivity which means that you will be able to take a selfie with just a button placed near to where you keep your hands.


It currently supports only on iOS Devices with IOS 6.0 and above and Android Devices. Single charge can last around 10,000 shots


Since most of the Selfie Sticks are designed for its portability, The Xiaomi Monopod Selfie Stick weights about 150g, which makes it lighter and more comfortable to hold on. It also supports some of the Apps like the Camera 360 Ultimate available on both Apple Store and Playstore and some others too.


The Folded length is equal to Mi Note’s Length, which means you will you will able to place any smartphone below 6 inches into the selfie stick. You can also change the angle of taking a selfie which is now seen on most of the monopod selfie sticks.


It is made up of 7 segments and you will be able to take a selfie from a shortest length of 20cm to a greater extent of 85cm.


Connected via Bluetooth, operates with single hand, designed using Broadcom chipset, for faster and stable transmission


It is made up of High quality Silicon Material holder which makes it less slipery and gives a more comfy grip. Its available in 3 variant colors – grey,pink and blue.

The New Xiaomi Bluetooth Game Controller

Xiaomi, has announced its new Bluetooth-enabled game controller in China.

While the official pricing of the game controller, which looks like the Xbox One controller, has not been revealed as of yet, it is set to hit shelves in China on 25th Sep 2014, for selected Xiaomi users.

The official website states that the first 300 buyers of the Bluetooth game controller would only have to shell out just RMB1  for the device.

The Xiaomi game controller sports a D-pad, analogue sticks, Y, X, A, and B buttons, as well as two shoulder buttons on either side.


It also has a back button, menu button, and a home button with Mi branding. It is powered by 2xAA batteries. 

The specifications of the Bluetooth game controller are not yet known, however some websites speculate the device will be compatible with the Android-powered Mi TV and the Mi Pad 7.9 tablet.

The game controller will likely be compatible with Xiaomi's Mi 3 and Mi 4 smartphones also.

About IPTV App - One of the sample found on the web

HDTV App

HDTV is one of the many subscription apps available on the market, presumably by one of the China Vendors, as most references are all Chinese.

If you do not have the HDTV IPTV app already installed on your TV Box or Smart TV, please download the App from the following link

After downloaded, install them on your MiBox, if you do not know how to install app on a MiBox 4K or Mibox Mini, please refer to Installing Apps on Mibox

Getting the Account ID


Look for the Green icon, with two antenna called HDTV on your TV Box, as shown highlighted above.


After running the HDTV app, you will see the above message box, which indicates you do not have a subscription yet, if you would like a free trial, you can copy the device ID, in the format of 9800-xxxxxxxx (as seen above) and send an email to the re-seller's email address - hdiptv88@gmaio.com

To avoid copying the wrong ID, it would be best if you can take a screenshot of the ID, like the picture above, and send to the re-seller.

It will take a few hours for the reseller to activate your trial account.


Activating the account if you are paying for subscriptions
After the trial period, if you have decided to buy annual subscription, you can pay online, and after which the activation account will be send to you, and you can use the above screen to activate your new subscription.

The App by default come configured for TV Box panel display format, which may not be displayed properly on MiBox, you can change the display format to Pad Panel display, so that they can be easier to navigate on MiBox.

Adjusting the format


Press the "Menu" button on your remote control, and select "Panel"


Choose "Pad Panel", press "Return" button to exit the program, then restart the app, you'll see the new display format

Installing Apps on MiBox 4K & MiBox Mini

1) How to install a new app on MiBox

a) If you are having a MiBox 4K (Black colour) you can install using the USB thumbdrive, 
b) If you are having a mibox Mini (white), you need to use Remote Install (2) below
c) Copy the new app file (xxx.apk) onto your USB drive
d) Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the TV Box
e) A pop-up message will come onto the screen, asking you to browse the USB drive
f) select the APK that you want to install from the USB drive folder
g) Press"Home" button to go back to main menu, and start the newly installed app




2) How to install APP remotely using your PC
Please make sure your TV Box and PC are connected to the same Wifi network

a) Start "Shafa Market"


b) Use your remote to move the top menu to "Tools"


c) Navigate to "Remote Install"

d) You should see the IP address to access the TV Box, something like http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8899


e) Open the browser of your PC, key in the above IP address


f) Click the green "Upload" button and browse the APK that you want to install from your PC folder
g) Install the APK

h) Exit to the TV Box main menu by pressing "HOME" button

i) The new app should now be installed, click on the app to start 


How to Uninstall Apps from your TV Box

To uninstall any of thh Apps from your TV Box, again use the "Shafa Market"

Launch "Shafa Market", Goto "Tools" and select "Uninstall"


Select the app that you want to uninstall, after uninstall, you will see the space available on your TV Box will increase
